I have hidden something inside this box, and I have taped it shut. Come up and peep through the little hole one at a time. Can you tell me what it is?

Let's think about this puzzle together. What would need to change so we could see the object in the box?
What do you think happens when we open a small hole to let light in?
Today's words: light source — something that makes its own light, like the sun or a torch. Reflection — light bouncing off an object. How we see — light leaves a source, bounces off an object, then reaches our eye.
Keep this question in your head: does anything come OUT of your eye when you look at something?
Now it is your group's turn. Your group has its own box, just like mine, still taped shut. Everyone in your group gets a peep through the little hole first, so you can all see there is nothing to see.
Then open your one small light hole and everyone peeps again. What happens to the object now?
Let's follow a single beam of light on the screen. It leaves the torch, hits the mirror, and travels on to the eye.
Predict first: if I turn the torch further over, where will the light land? A prediction is just a good guess, and being wrong helps us learn, so have a go out loud.
